This Peace Leadership Collaborative event featured four peace education leaders, all contributors in Issue 02 of the Peace Prospects magazine, to learn about their peace education work around the world, and to together explore what it means to educate for peace and to collectively meet this moment at a global scale.
We heard from four peace educators: (1) Roba Khder, an educator at the British International School working with students in Gaza, both advancing their education while cultivating hope and safety; (2) Julie Lillie, an education consultant, author of Empowering Peace and Justice Education, and Founder of The Peace Pad advancing and advocating for peace education for all; (3) Moses Abolade, Executive Director of the Peace Education and Practice Network, leading peace education and grassroots transformation in Nigeria; and (4) Syed Ali Abbas Zaidi, Founder of HIVE, co-creating peace education models in Pakistan.
